This decision is of exceptional significance in that it opens excellent future prospects for the region. One of the important economic bases for the enhancement to a metropolitan region was, alongside the highly developed infrastructure and the extensive competence in research and technology, the strong potential resulting from the productivity of more than 120,000 companies.
